abouTZU is Tzuyu's debut solo Korean mini album, released September 6, 2024 โ€” making her the last of the three Taiwanese-born TWICE members to release a solo Korean project. The album title merges the English word "about" with "TZU," reflecting the project's concept of revealing all sides of Tzuyu; the stylized text "abouTZU" on the cover can also be read as "chouTZU," a nod to her full name Chou Tzuyu. The six-track album features "Run Away" as the lead single โ€” a synth-pop and disco-pop track with lyrics by J.Y. Park evoking a late-2000s to mid-2010s sonic palette โ€” alongside "Heartbreak in Heaven" (feat. Peniel of BTOB, sung entirely in English), "Lazy Baby" (feat. pH-1), "Losing Sleep," "One Love," and the closing ballad "Fly," for which Tzuyu wrote the lyrics herself. The album comes in five physical versions: two standard photobook editions (Run and Fly), a Heaven version, a Digipack, and a Platform_Nemo (digital, no CD), plus a vinyl edition. Standard Run and Fly editions include a 96-page photobook, 4 random photocards out of 15 types, folded poster (1/3), photo film (1/2), printed photo (1/3), interview poster (1/3), stamp sticker (1/3), and envelope; pre-orders added a lenticular photocard and poster. The Heaven version includes a 24-page photo booklet and lyrics paper. abouTZU debuted at Billboard 200 #19 and Circle Album Chart #3, with 467,500 pre-orders worldwide and 284,844 copies sold in South Korea in its first chart week.
