Between 1&2
Between 1&2 (stylized BETW9EN 1&2) is TWICE's 11th Korean mini album, released August 26, 2022 via JYP Entertainment and Republic Records โ their first Korean comeback of the year, following all nine members renewing their JYP contracts in July. The title carries the same fandom-centric meaning as Formula of Love: the "1" and "2" represent ONCE and TWICE, with the album positioned as the space between them. It comes in four versions โ Archive, Cryptography, Pathfinder, and Complete โ each containing a photobook, CD, box, polaroid photocard (1 of 9), crosscode postcard (1 of 9), film photo sticker (1 of 9), message photocard (1 of 9), heart glass, folded poster, and 5 photocards. Pre-orders added a full photocard set and poster. The 7-track album is led by "Talk That Talk" and includes "Queen of Hearts," "Basics," "Trouble," "Brave," "Gone," and "When We Were Kids," with contributors including Slow Rabbit, LDN Noise, and Banx & Ranx. Member Jihyo tested positive for COVID-19 just before release and missed initial music show performances. Pre-orders surpassed 1 million copies โ making TWICE the third female K-pop group to achieve this after BLACKPINK and aespa. The album debuted #3 on the Billboard 200 with 100,000 equivalent units, and became TWICE's first album certified KMCA Million, selling over 1 million physical copies.
