MISAMO Play
PLAY is MISAMO's debut full-length Japanese studio album, released February 4, 2026 via Warner Music Japan — the third and final entry in the subunit's self-described artistic triptych, following Masterpiece (2023) and Haute Couture (2024). Promotional material described it as "the final act of MISAMO's artistic triptych — a performative culmination where the artist transcends the artwork itself." The album's release was accompanied by a Harajuku pop-up event on February 7, and Tokyo Tower was lit in MISAMO's official colors that same day to mark the occasion. A special fan event, "Uni Spring × MiSaMo Special Prom Night," was held at Universal Studios Japan on February 6, where "Confetti" received its first live performance.
The twelve tracks are: "Confetti" (title, pre-released January 16, 2026), "Hmm," "Not a Goodbye," "Deep Eden," "Red Diamond," "Catch My Eye," "Kitty" (Momo solo), "Ma Cherry" (Sana solo), "Turning Tables" (Mina solo), "Identity," "Do Not Touch," and "Message." The tracklist functions as a greatest-hits-meets-new-material structure — "Do Not Touch" and "Identity" are the lead singles from Masterpiece and Haute Couture respectively, while "Message" was first released as the OST ballad for the 2025 film Blank Canvas: My So-Called Artist's Journey. "Red Diamond" and "Catch My Eye" were live debuts during the Haute Couture dome tour in late 2024 and early 2025, meaning fans who attended the dome shows had already heard two of the new songs months before the album dropped. Each member's solo track — Momo's "Kitty," Sana's "Ma Cherry," and Mina's "Turning Tables" — appears on select editions only, continuing the pattern established on Haute Couture.
Physically the album comes in seven versions. Limited Edition A (CD+DVD) contains a digipak in a clear sleeve, booklet, flyer, and one trading card (random 1/15) — the only edition to include a DVD. Limited Edition B uses a theatrical concept, packaging the album with a performance ticket-style card, invitation card, five logo stickers, envelope, 20-page lyrics booklet, and three trading cards (random 3/15) inside a clear sleeve case. The Regular edition is a jewel case with a 20-page booklet and one trading card (1/15). The ONCE JAPAN fan club edition and three member-specific editions (Mina, Sana, Momo) round out the lineup.
Commercially, PLAY debuted at number one on both the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart and the Oricon Combined Albums Chart, with 80,550 physical copies sold in its first week. It also topped Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales and Hot Albums charts, as well as the Tower Records all-store weekly chart — a clean sweep of Japan's major album rankings, completing the trilogy with the same chart dominance that began with Masterpiece in 2023.
